About Ronald

Ron is a long-time, successful entrepreneur who has built and managed companies in the telecommunications, technology, automotive and real estate sectors, since becoming a graduate of Business Management at Keyin College. His previous work in the real estate sector has included investing in, renovating, and managing properties in both residential & commercial real estate. He also played a strategic role in developing a 180-unit residential subdivision development. Drawing from this experience, Ron brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the real estate industry. Ron’s dedication has led to his induction into the ReMax Hall of Fame and receiving multiple awards including the Remax Chairman's Club award.

Presently serving the City of St. John’s as Councillor at Large, with previous service as Ward 4 Councillor & Deputy Mayor, Ron is committed to the betterment of his community. Ron is the Board Chair at Virginia Park Community Centre, and a member of the MacMorran Community Center Finance Committee, Community Center Alliance Board, Shea Heights Community Center Board, and VOCM Cares Board.

Ron previously served as the Provincial President for Duke of Edinburgh NL, Chair of the Genesis Centre Selection Committee, School Council member at Beaconsfield Junior High, Chair of the Finance Committee for MacMorran Community Centre, committee member with the Northeast Avalon DARE Program, and board member with Ever Green Recycling. Ron has also engaged with his community through coaching volleyball and soccer, as a Scout leader, board member of the Boys and Girls Club, & as Fundraising Chair for the Community Garden - Daffodil Place.

Ron resides in St. John's with his wife Paula, with whom he has four children – Michael, Stephanie, Maria, & Christine – and two grandchildren – Thomas & Sophie.
